Solo Travelling – How to enjoy!
Sometimes
you may really want to go to a country and your friends or families
cannot go with you due to some issues. If so, don’t be disappointed. If
you want to go to a specific place, do it alone! Anyway, you can still
enjoy travelling even you are just solo. If you want to know how to enjoy solo travelling, here are some tips for you!
Always think the first person you meet doesn’t know everything
When
you arrived in a country, you may ride to taxi of a very charismatic
and entertainingdriver. Sometimes we may easily believe to these people
because when they talk, they are very convincing. However, always think
that they don’t know everything! Even though they are local to the
country, it is a fact that they don’t know everything in your country.
Think about you. Do you know every tourist spot in your country? Do you
know all the best restaurants in your town? Isn’t it that you just know
some and you don’t know all? This is why you need recommendationsfrom
many people and not just from one.
Turn Off Social Media
We
all know that internets cuts our time. It is no doubt that someone who
sits in front of a computer and starts accessing their social media
accounts lose a lot of their time, isn’t it? This is why when you are
travelling, try to get off social media first. It is not a good idea to
spend time with internet because you will not get enough experience in
your travel if you do so.
Talk to Local People
Giving
some time in talking to local people is a good way to enjoy solo
travelling. There are no best tourist guides than those of the people
living around your destination. They will serve as your Wikipedia or
Google for a moment because they are the ones who know the area very
well. Try to ask them about many things and let them give some stories
about the area. In this way, you will easily know a brief of the history
of the place and as well as its present condition.
Don’t follow a stiff schedule
Are
you strict with your schedule? Then don’t be! Following a stiff
schedule strictly will just prevent you from new opportunities. There
are some things wherein you need to give up your appointments that are
scheduled in order to experience a different thing. For example, you met
a local resident during your travel and you really have a good time
with him and then he asksyou to have a party in his yacht, will you
agree with him or will you choose your appointment at 3:00pm? It’s your
choice! But I tell you, you may give up some of your schedule activities
if you feel that it is better to go to a place where you didn’t plan.
Anyway, surprises are really exciting.
